Mauritz Lotz is an award winning artist, producer, composer, arranger and session musician.
He launched his professional music career at the age of 17 by doing gigs and recording sessions for various artists establishing himself as a respected musician amongst his colleagues and peers whilst also honing his skill as a music producer.
He has worked with numerous South African as well as International artists over the past 35 years. Among these are Phil Manzanera, Wouter Kellerman, N'Faly Kayoute, Shawn Phillips, Chris de Burgh, Crash Test Dummies, Nianel, Ice Cube, Mzansi Youth Choir, Vusi Mahlasela, Mango Groove to mention but a few
With 5 solo albums to his name, Mauritz can be heard on over 4000 recordings ranging from album projects to movie soundtracks & radio/tv adverts. Whether it be on stage or in studio, he continues to play an active role in the music industry as a freelance film composer, music producer, arranger and musician.
