The Flower and the Raindrop
The song describes a dialogue between a flower and a drop of water on their way to find each other. This micro-perspective reflects the fragility and uniqueness of every living organism on our planet - something we often tend to forget.
Jury Statement
„I very much resonated with the fragile beauty of the song, as well as the story of the lyrics. Simple, nonetheless very touching. The voices of Tamar & Netanel are gorgeous. The arrangement is pure and effective, and the lyrics are spot on.“ – Elina Duni
“A simple ballad with a beautiful melody which stays in your brain, like a standard. Listening to it took me directly to a peaceful site with beautiful colours and sounds. Very pure!“ – Manu Katché

Tika We
“Tika We'” means “Miracle of Life” in African. The song is a wake-up call to save our planet. In order for us to continue to admire its wonders, a fundamental rethinking and a different behaviour is essential. And everyone can contribute and take small steps to save the earth.
Jury Statement
“I found the song very attractive and emotional, even if I do not understand the language! The vocals and choir make this song sounds like an African Chant. Instantly you feel being part of a reunion where everyone interact for a similar goal - praying for the good!” — Manu Katché
-
Last Dance
“Last Dance” thematizes the current state of our planet and describes it as a dance around its own axis. The song is a plea for mercy of our earth. Music and dance are like vehicles to lift the soul and transform it into the beyond.
Jury Statement
“There is a sound of 1980’s rap music and hints of Quincy Jones as well. It has a nostalgic quality and reminds me of the time when rap emerged as a form of protest music. The groove is lovely and it has a real bounce to it! It’s worth mentioning also that the production is wonderfully well done.” – Elina Duni
“This track is very up and going! Very hip. The main thing that I like, appart of course of the groove and the rhythm section, is that all the instruments are real. What a relief compare to machines that are used regularly in production nowadays! I was called out by the structure of this song which is quite unexpected in some places plus the references to the main masters of soul of all time.” – Manu Katché
-
Vidala de la Espera
“Vidala de la Espera” was written during the first Covid-19 lockdown in spring – in its sudden standstill and infinite silence. Humanity was on pause waiting for its destiny. Time to make a decision. The song is a call to unite mother earth and its inhabitants again: “Faith and hope in our sacred music“, „Faith and hope in our sacred humanity“.
Jury Statement
I really enjoyed the vibe, the use of space, the minimalism of this melody. It's beautifully sung. The arrangement is great, the harmonic colours are very surprising and give lots of emotion to the song. Fantastic job!" – Yaron Herman
“This song is deep, it sounds like a prayer but in a kind of a transe way. The regular repeat of the melody catches you, you don’t want to have an end! What a comfortable and beautiful vibe.“ – Manu Katché
-
Dreamer
"Dreamer" is about the children and young people of Planet Earth, whose innocence, hopes and dreams are in danger of being shattered by all the destructive forces in societies.
Jury Statement
"The artists have ventured to combine classical instrumental and electronic sounds with modern Hip Hop/Rap. Africa meets Europe with the stirring message 'a cry for the children and youth of planet earth'. A hypnotic refrain, spoken like a mantra, hammers into our consciousness. 'Everything that you can do in your heart, you can do... What does it take to be a dreamer?'. The lyrics hit the nerve of the theme, provoking and injecting a sense of urgency in contrast to a quiet sound carpet of improvised violin and piano pieces." – Beyond Foundation
-

Our project theme 'songs for the planet' is wonderfully realized with the lyrics. The melody is touching and moves us. The whole song is musically and instrumentally very professionally executed. Jury Statement
"We find the melody and rhythm stirring and the beat uplifting. Building up the song with more and more instruments creates a high energy. You feel the journey between Canada and Tanzania. We like the strong voices of Anna and Msafiri and the great performance of Nic. We feel the call that we all have to do something to change the world, and when we grab a shovel and plant seeds." – Beyond Foundation
-
Child Song
“Child Song” is a radical call for humanity towards children and mothers who have been severely neglected. It is a reawakening that we all need to focus on a crucial part of our society. As a melodramatic fusion of jazz, pop, poetry and spoken words full of consciousness, the message was of personal significance for the artists themselves, who draw attention to the fact that we were all once children.

Earth tell my eager hands
The song is a tribute to the infinite force of the earth and how we are intertwined therein. It tells about the archaic symbiosis between the human mankind and our earth. As the farmer who humbly asks for his land in order to provide for his people, ready to work with his hands and in his sweat.
Jury Statement
„I like the blues-drenched feeling of this song. The idea of the "work song" with this beat that constatly repeats itself, it chimes like an ostinato of labour. The voice of Nadine Jeanne is very sensuous and the whole atmosphere of the song is somehow reminiscent of the British Trip-Hop band Portishead. It all blends together very nicely with the poem of Msafiri Zawose.“ — Elina Duni
-
Beautiful Earth
It is a love song for life on earth with a profound lyrical message from the heart: "We are bound together like a thousand prayers". It reminds us that love is the universal truth and that although we can get lost, we will find "ways to survive and new ways to thrive".
Jury Statement
“I like the naivety of the lyrics, the groove, and the overall simplicity of it. I also think that the voice of Heather Ella Rose and Les Teriba sound really great and fit together very neatly in the arrangement. It sounds fresh, poppy, and what's more, it’s a song you start humming instinctively.” – Elina Duni
-
Bokamoso
The song has a pop foundation with elements of African fusion, world music and blues. The message is that we have to be the change we want to see. Through love for our fellow humans, for our planet and for all that dwells therein, we can heal our broken world. What are we leaving behind for our children? Let's wake up! Love, compassion, and caring are the keys for the future. It begins with me and you.
Jury Statement
"The piece is very musical, it is a song with a beautiful melodic and instrumental moment. It mixes a vocal performance and a musical journey. Most of the time it is one or the other, rarely both. 'Bokamoso' takes you to a wonderful state of an organic and peaceful sense. Powerfulness of simplicity!" – Manu Katché

The things that matter
The song is dedicated to the quote by Martin Luther King: “The world begins to end the day we are silent about the things that matter.” It is a call for social justice and transformation on our planet, and a sorrowful lament for all the victims of injustice.
Jury Statement
„I love the minimalism of this song. When the piano riff starts, there is a truly filmic quality to the music. The voices of Heather Ella Rose and Marshall-Muze blend wonderfully well together, their two vocal parts are so complementary. It is a very touching song, from the lyrics to the melody, right through to the instrumental arrangement. It’s a song that resonates deeply with the listener.“ — Elina Duni

"The dialogue between God and the human being is passionate and exciting. The divine, omnipresent power that protects our planet is honoured with distinctive gospel elements, combined with Rock and Pop: 'What would life on Earth looks like without you Lord?' The rhythm is very moving and invites you to dance. The saxophone and trumpet tones run like fanfares through the music piece. In the middle part a powerful guitar is convincing." – Beyond Foundation

Uivo de Lamento
The song is about a joint lament of humans and animals and the desire to move towards a world that serves everyone. "Uivo de Lamento" combines instruments from different cultures, unknown ancient sounds and modern technology in an innovative way. The song begins with the pressing lament of the earth in the form of the howling of the wolf, symbolized by the old Kazakh string instrument Kyl-Kobyz.

The animals speak to the people, which nourishes the longing for reunion with nature. You can feel the message of the song in every cell of your body. Beyond Music Vol. 2 Same Planet
1. The Flower and the Raindrop
Hey there, little drop
You’ve come to me from high atop the sky,
From passing clouds above
I’ve been waiting just for you
I’ve looked and searched the morning dew
waiting, for a sign.
I was born and grew on this land
I've seen many others wither into sand
Seasons passed me by, and many winds did blow
And then you came.
Hey there, little bud
I’ve seen you there among the trees and brush
Waiting for me
I’ve been looking, for so long
Wondering where I belong
but now, I found a home.
I’ve been on the journey of my life
I have seen a great fire in the sky
I’ve spent so many days on my path to you
And finally, there was you.
Hey there, little drop
The time has come for you to make a stop
We may not stay together
Soon my seed will dry
But don't you worry I won't die
I’ll wait, to see you once again.
And then, the morning sun will shine,
We’ll meet and make it all worthwhile.
A brand-new season a brand-new start
And then we will never be apart.
2. Tika We (Wonder of life)
Verse 1
Choose sustainable
Use long-lasting light bulbs
Plant a tree, educate yourself
You, you can make a change
Chorus
Tika we (×4) x2
Wonder of life
Verse 2
Reduce, reuse, recycle
Cut down on what you, you throw away (×2)
Chorus
Tika we (×4) x2
Wonder of life
Bridge
Na nou we dougue do wa
Soma dougue da wa
Nza nou we eh eh eh
Na nou we dougue do wa
Soma dougue da wa
Na nou we eh eh eh
Come all let’s preserve our beautiful planet
Let’s all come together
Come all let’s preserve our beautiful planet
Let’s all come together
Chorus
Tika we (x4) x8 (ad libs)
Wonder of life
3. Last Dance
Hey hey would you wanna
Hey hey would you wanna dance hey hey
Me and world are spinning around
Did you hear me screaming dreaming of sound
That was meant to wake the people in my town
Before the deaf ears got infectious
Now the world couldn't hear my sound
left me no choice to dance or drown
In my voice I had to make a choice
I'm no danger to stranger but myself
About to dance on my very last breath
Nothing can stop me
I will not leave
memory of a dying earth
Thou shall not kill up what about Earth
Music uplifts the spirit
In this tonight's breeze and Divine Spring
Won't let the world bleed but my own feet
Hey hey I wanna (x5)
Who I should not be
Every time when I get down on my knees
Shouldn't be the time every time you hear me saying please
Conflict improvised who should I please
Guilty not plead I would lead
Greed is killing the planet
Give up that bid
That's what I think
Guess what he said
I am money driven
Call me what you like
I like rap and blues that remind me of no purpose
I'm famous with the ball like Amokachi
You want to own the world you need worship me
Who wouldn't I please who wouldn't I please
unless not thirsty of 3 quarters of earth
made out of water
Whoever you plus equals me and your distress
Are you gonna bury us all
Are you serious
Please don't kill me Please don't kill me
I'm on my last dance
Please don't kill me hey hey I wanna dance (x2)
Hey hey I wanna (x9)
For my peeps in case, you wanna dance dance
Hip hop heads on your b boy stance
Dance of life is made of steps
To take a step choose wisely your next (x2)
Aren't you gonna miss the world you should take a picture
Reason you gonna miss the world you ain't take it with ya
Living this life what are we doing
Who would be wrong living on the other side
This memory of lives never lost me
To my teacher who just passed Mr. Stanley and all my little hommies rest in peace Janet hommie
Free at least from the horrific situation
The world facing today
Without the least of shame
So I'm going I'm going until tomorrow
I would want every day singing the same song (x2)
Every day from today
I wish the world would last one more dance
Don't stop this music so the world would keep on spinning (x5)
Please don't kill me Please don't kill me
I'm on my last dance
Please don't kill me hey hey I wanna dance (x2)
Hey hey I wanna
Hey Hey would you wanna dance
Hey hey do you wanna dance
Hey hey I wanna (x5)
4. Vidala de la Espera (Vidala of waiting)
Faith and hope in our sacred music,
Faith and hope in our sacred humanity.
Todo es quietud en la tierra
El viento oculta su voz
Música de las esferas
No hay tiempo, no hay hora, no hay Dios.
Everything is stillness on earth
The wind hides his voice
Music of the spheres
There is no time, there is no time, there is no
God.
Arriba el agua abismal
Abajo el cielo lloró
Above the abysmal water
Down below the sky wept
Ya no cantan las estrellas
No puedo escuchar su voz.
The stars no longer sing
I can't hear your voice.
Sola en la vasta llanura
De frente a mi corazón
Vacua esperanza y fortuna
Vidala dile Adiós.
Alone on the vast plain
In front of my heart
Empty hope and fortune
“Vidala” say goodbye
La lluvia nueva traerá
Fé en mi sosiego interior
The new rain will bring
Faith in my inner calm
Amanece un nuevo día
Reverdece el amor.
A new day dawns
Love grows green.
5. Dreamer
I been in thirst in search of love
Praying for greatness from above
Should have played scrabble my life bubble will still be intact
I know my flaws is what you don't love
It takes a person and one law to call it love
My heart goes out to all broken hearts
Choosing to be a better man environment not making easy
Kind of pain
Never seen or sang before
Scribbling for words
To only find rappers
That don't mean what they say
I say hey now
Take the now from never
Doesn't take a heaven's child
To put things back together
Making it obvious
Fight now
Uh until when
No more suffering
Of innocent children
In protecting them we should arise to protect their dreams
Anything you can do anything
In your heart you can do anything
Anything anything can happen
In the mind of a dreamer
Anything you can do anything
In your heart you can do anything
You’re what it takes to do anything
What does it take to be a dreamer?
Anything you can do anything
In your heart you can do anything
Anything anything can happen
In the mind of a dreamer
Anything you can do anything
In your heart you can do anything
You’re what it takes to do anything
What does it take to be a dreamer?
Hello sunshine I see you shining
Hope you see me grow
Every after dawn
Did you see some girl by the name called Martha?
Her brave heart the subject of this song
She is meant to grow up and be a leader
Fight starts to finish those battles within her
Takes care of her family as she grows older
Moves in new city to pursue her Master
Found some answers inside her Master
Forgot all pain before 19
Everything I see beyond everything that is real
This warrior lives beyond 19
Dreams don't crush them when I look back on them
I'm staring back on my own mirror
Anything you can do anything
In your heart you can do anything
Anything anything can happen
In the mind of a dreamer
Anything you can do anything
In your heart you can do anything
You’re what it takes to do anything
What does it take to be a dreamer?
Anything you can do anything
In your heart you can do anything
Anything anything can happen
In the mind of a dreamer
Anything you can do anything
In your heart you can do anything
You’re what it takes to do anything
What does it take to be a dreamer?
Hello moonlight you should know
Your glow last night was more than a show
To last a lifetime for me and soul
When you speak to kids teach hope can grow
Same garden of hearts they should plant roses of love
Underneath every soil there is a pure heart
Underneath every boy and girl there is a brave heart
Who takes a walk in the park in the dark?
Every soul’s yearning is to speak with every heart
And gain virtues for the most part
Everything I see beyond everything that is real
Spirit of warrior lives beyond 16
Dreams don’t crush them
When I look past them, I’m staring back on my own mirror
Anything, Everything, Anyone, Every Dream….
6. Our World is blue
Verse 1
The last light of day
A dusky blue evening
Dew drops paint the world
And starlight is gleaming
Life wants to live
The forest filled with music
The sea is full of songs
The air glowing lucid
White mist shrouds the pond
And fish dance the tango
And birds fly far beyond
Swans sway the fandango
Pre-Chorus
La planète est bleue
Et ce monde est beau
Die Welt ist schön
Unser Planet ist blau
The planet is blue
And this world is beautiful
The world is beautiful
Our planet is blue
Chorus Our world is blue
We'll never get another
Life springs anew
Still so much to discover
Our world is blue
Our beautiful mother
Her beauty so true
Stop making her suffer
Our world is so blue
Our world is so blue
Verse 2
Clouds drifting apart
The moon greets the morning
The sun warms every heart
We welcome the dawning
Trees dance in the wind
Like an endless ballet
The waves come rolling in
And the breeze loves to play
The mountains stand proud
In pure snow-white robes
The glaciers dreaming now
Trying not to lose hope
Pre-Chorus
La planète est bleue
Et ce monde est beau
La tierra es hermosa
El mundi tan azul
The planet is blue
And this world is beautiful
The land is beautiful
Our world is blue
Chorus
Our world is blue
We'll never get another
Life springs anew
Still so much to discover
Our world is blue
Our beautiful mother
Her beauty so true
Stop making her suffer
Our world is so blue
Our world is so blue
7. Kijanisha the Planet
Kilimo shamba mazao bora kupata
Iwe kwa binadam hata na ndege wanyama
Aridhi salama kuna faida kemkem
miti usikate visiki uhai uvipe
Weka matuta eneo uzio husika
maporomoko ya maji pindi yanaposhuka
uoto wa asili kwa wingi utajiotea
nzuri ki rutba mvua kwa mpigo kushuka
mazao kwame idadi haito toweka
iwe kupanda miti ishirini iache kufyekwa
kupanda kwenye ukubwa wa kila heka
The best land is turned into farms
Great for the human race and even birds of prey
A safe environment has benefits
But don't cut down the trees to give life
Place ridges on the fence
When a waterfall descends
Natural vegetation will grow in abundance
Good clean rainwater drops to the beat
The crops will never run out of water
Twenty trees should be planted but not pruned
On each landing
Hali ya ujenzi kilimo cha kisasa
Vivuli tunavikosa, mananga kuongezeka,
vyanzo vya maji kukauka
The state of modern agriculture, there is no
more shade
Sunflowers are growing, but water sources dry up
Kijanisha
Weka dunia ing’ale poa
Kijanisha
Linda misitu wacha kuing'oa
Kijanisha
Weka dunia to make it grow up
Kijanisha
Linda misitu to shine pure
Regreen
Keep the world cool
Regreen
Protect the forests
Regreen
Save the world to make it grow up
Regreen
Guard the forests to shine pure
Hasara hufuata, janga la njaa vimbunga skata
Hasara hufuata mabadiliko ya mfumo wa anga
Mbaya kwa binadamu hata na ndege wanyama
Kimfumo wa afya mangojwa tapatapa
Kiuchumi hutesa taifa litapotea
Tuwe na fikra mfumo mzuri husika
Miti na ardhi maisha yetu safi
Uwe mkulima mkapa mkaa dereva wa trecta
Mfugaji malisho ya ng’ombe usifanye uzembe
Losses follow, catastrophic famine strikes
Because of a change in the atmospheric system
Too bad for humans and even birds
Health system are affected now
Economic tortures, the nation will be lost
Let's make a new system
Trees and earth, live clean
Become a farmer and give charcoal to a tractor driver
Don't be careless with cattle pasture
Kukata miti pasipo kupanda husabisha majanga
Mvua hukoma kunyesha joto la jua hutanda
Kijanisha
Weka dunia ing’ale poa
Kijanisha
Linda misitu wacha kuing'oa
Kijanisha
Weka dunia to make it grow up
Kijanisha
Linda misitu to shine pure
Deforestation causes disasters
The rain ceases and the heat of the sun warms
Regreen
Keep the world cool
Regreen
Protect forests from deforestation
Regreen
Save the world to make it grow up
Regreen
Guard the forests to shine pure
Kukata miti pasipo kupanda
Vyanzo vya maji hukauka na mabwawa yote
hunyauka
Ufahari wa ujenzi wa kilimo chakisasa, vivuri
tunavikosa
Mjanga yanaongezeka, kijanisha!
Cutting down the trees without replanting
The water sources dry up
With the weight of modern agricultural
production
Tragedy strikes
Regreen and reconnect!
8. Child Song
Verse 1
Children and Mothers,
Calling for Mercy,
They wonder where we are,
Oh,
We owe them the answers,
No matter what the price is,
And that is who we are...
Hey, I see a picture - a picture,
Where nothing is stolen... Oh yeah,
And yes, I see a future - a future,
Where no child is broken.
Hook:
Oh, sing me a song, a good song, Sing a Child Song.
Sing me a song, a good song, Sing a Child Song.
Hype:
Yeah,
Eh-eh-eh-eh-eh-eh yeah eh-hey
The child song, yeah eh
(Song, sing a child song)
The child song, yeah eh
(Song, Sing a Child Song)
The child song, yeah ehh
(Song)
Sing the right song...
Verse 2 (Rap)
The business
The witness
The sickness is so deep
The weakness
The eve's curse
The silence is broken
The brightest
The light years
The highest are chosen
The Jah bless
The man curse
The eye red no knor tii
The children
The millions
The leaders are joking
The patriots
The haters
The fakeness is okay
For freedom
The Kingdom
The wisdom turn syndrome
For peace and for Jesus
His answers will please us
Keep grinding
Keep shining
And sing me a child song
The fathers
The Mothers
Sing me a child song
The sisters
The brothers
Sing me a child song
The Lion of Zion
Sing me a child song
Hook:
Oh, sing me a song, a good song, Sing a Child Song.
Sing me a song, a good song, Sing a Child Song.

9. Más Acá (Beyond)
No lyrics, vocal interpretations.
10. Earth tell my eager hands
Earth, please tell these eager hands
How to work and treat your lands
Will you give what we need
Will you share
Will you feed?
Earth, you take this falling sweat
Day by day till sun is set
Will you give what we need
Will you care
Will we reap?
My heart beats your rhythm
My blood holds your soul
Facing weathers as they roll
Will you give
Earth, be gentle to my kind
My grateful hands will not be blind
Will you give what we need
Will you care
Will we reap?
11. Beautiful Earth
I love the sky
I love the seas
I love the earth
I love the trees
I love the birds
I love the bees
I love the beauty
And I love the beasts
I love the joy
The sorrow too
I love the hope
I love the truth
I love people
From everywhere
We’re bound together
Like a thousand prayers
Oh, love love love
It’s a beautiful earth
Oh love…
It’s a beautiful earth
Oh, love love love
Love love love
It’s a beautiful world
I love the mess
mistakes we’ve made
It’s how we learn
Like kids at play
I love the shame
The sorrow too
The saddest things
Are Our greatest truths
So, love love love
It’s a beautiful earth
…..
It’s a beautiful world
I love the hills
And mountains too
The sand and rains
the skies so blue
We can get lost
But we will find
Ways to survive
New ways to thrive
Love… it’s a beautiful earth
We have to change
The mess we’ve made
It’s not too late
Can’t hesitate
Things may be bad
Or may be good
There’s only one
Universal truth
And that’s to love love love
The beautiful earth
And Praise praise praise
All the people on earth
If we try try try try
we don’t have to fight
there’s only love love love
in the whole universe
12. Bokamoso (The Future)
Verse 1
It begins with me and you
Show love, show compassion
Let's lift each other up
One by one, we can heal the world
A re bontšhaneng botho
A re emeletšaneng
A re thušaneng
Re aganeng, A re aganeng

kindness, unity)
Let's lift each other up
Let's help each other
Let's build each other, build each other
Chorus:

Let's leave behind a better tomorrow,
future
For our future generations
Verse 2
What are we gonna leave behind?
For our children, for the future
Can't you see the distraction
Of our planet, of our people
Raging wars, can we find peace
I pray can we open our eyes
Future
He ye hi he ye
A re naganeng ka bokamoso
He ye hi he ye
Let us think about the future
13. The things that matter
When the Victim called for help,
All we gave Her was our Silence,
And now it seems as if; The world is in a...
Never Ending Loop of Violence.
Oh, and our Past has shown us
We must show our Presence...
And the world begins to end the day we are silent about the things that matter
And our hearts can only mend, the day that we speak up about the things that matter
Do you often times Wonder?
Why are Humans so Asunder?
What are the things that put us Under?
We speak to others, but not for Others.
Such a Blunder - Oh God!!!
This Earth needs more Love,
This Earth need Lovers,
And Lawyers,
And Talkers
Be our Brothers Keepers,
Speak for all our Brothers,
Defend one another,
Be more like Martin Luther...
Oh yeah...
If you know you got something that really must be Said,
Then you Say It...
Cause if you don't
Then you'll be letting down those who'll be needing Saving...
If you know you got something that really must be Said,
Then you...

16. Uivo de Lamento
Lamento o Lamento
I Lament the Lament
Lamento o lamento de quem me alimenta a
mim
I lament the lament of those who feed me
Ver gente pendente e descrente de si
Seeing self-doubtful pending people
Ser um pau mandado e roubado e queimado
no chão
Being a lapdog and stolen and burned on the ground
Nas ruas que são tuas e cruas em tal solidão
In the streets that are yours and raw in such solitude
Lamento o lamento de quem me alimenta a
mim
I lament the lament of those who feed me
A Terra ainda berra e ferra cantigas assim
The Earth still screams and stings songs like this
E troco o meu canto plo pranto enquanto
adormeço
And I switch my singing for weeping while I fall
asleep
E vivo em sentido, perdido e medido plo preço
And I live sentenced, lost and measured by price
Aiya Eo Hoiye, Aiya Eo Hoiye, Ane, Ane Ane Ane Hoiye
Ngaila Nene Ngaila
I suffer, I suffer
Kuomboleza omboleza ombo Nae
Maisha haya maisha haya maisha wewe
Kuomboleza ombo ombo nae
Maisha maisha maisha maisha wewe
To mourn the mourners to mourn
This life, this life, this life you
To mourn, the mourners
This this life, this life you
Lamento, lamento, lamento Kuomboleza
I lament, I lament, I lament to mourn

Some Jury Feedback
Production
PlayHighest flexibility due to lockdown
The album Beyond Music Vol.2 was produced by the legendary Manu Katché. Manu's career as a drummer, composer, producer and arranger is unmatched. He has been working with the world's greatest artists since the 80s. Manu spent five weeks in a studio in Paris with mixing engineer Lucas D'Angelo to produce and mix the 16 album tracks from 60 artists spanning 26 countries. Due to worldwide travel restrictions caused by the virus pandemic, it was not possible for the participating artists to meet for album recording. After listening to the master tracks, the artists were overjoyed with the final result. It showed us that we can do anything even under difficult circumstances if we remain persistent and flexible. We named the album "Same Planet" because we are all connected and a solution to the problems on our earth is only possible if we take joint responsibility.
About Manu KatchéAlbum
An anthem to our precious planet Earth
The 60 artists from 26 countries represented on the album have collaborated across all difficulties and their isolations during the 2020 virus pandemic. Their 16 songs on the theme of "Songs for the Planet" are as diverse as the artists on our platform: they are about climate change, the extinction of endangered animals and plants, the protection of our children and women, the call for reconciliation of our planet Earth with its inhabitants, the concern about our future and a new awareness to interact with each other in this world. We named the album "Same Planet" because we are all connected and a solution to the problems can only be found if we all take responsibility together.
