Marching on

20th of October 2020 remains an unforgettable day for the youths of Nigeria. A national peaceful protest was held against police brutality, extortion, injustice, and bad governance but it ended in tragedy. A new era was born following that event. Lots of minds beyond our shores took courage from our bold step to demand the same in their society. 'Marching on' is a call to continue the demand for justice and a sane society regardless where you're from.

Coming from a disadvantaged place in the society and world where various forms of oppression is a daily occurrence, alone we eventually lose the strength to continue fighting against our oppressors. 'RISE' is an anthem to fuel and give strength to anyone who's loosing hope fighting for a positive change in the society and world at large. We can only do so much alone but together we garner the strength, encouragement and motivation to RISE above our oppressors and beyond.

Sing a song for women

A lot of women feel silenced in their societies. They are made to feel small and like their opinions do not matter. Sing a song for women everywhere means “let’s speak up for gender equality for women all around the World”. This message is amplified by 4 female voices of Artists from 3 countries asking everyone to support women more and ignore the traditional expectations of women. This song also encourages these women to look beyond societal stereotypes and dig deeper to find their value, worth and strength. Their magic!

We Are

Music has a remarkable ability to transcend cultural, linguistic, and social barriers: A powerful tool for social change and unity. Musicians have the opportunity to amplify marginalized voices, advocate for social justice, and inspire positive change. In "We Are," we endeavored and succeeded in bringing musicians from diverse cultures onto the same stage, each contributing from their own background and context. There were moments when communicating through music proved easier than discussing the music itself. "We are who we are for a reason."
