My name is norté Diago, and I am an afrobeat singer song writer from Ghana. I am the lead singer for my cover band Jollof Balz and we perform a wide range of popular musical renditions from r&b, reggae, funk, and pop music.
I have been working as a professional musician for more than a decade and in that time have been privileged to work and share stages with some of the biggest artists in my country Wiyaala and Sarkodie to mention a few . I am a fun loving charismatic person with an easy going approach to life . I am a respector and lover all people no matter where you come from and I like to show my love to others by cooking a little acts of service .
To work and collaborate with musicians from all over the world would be a dream come true and I can't wait to get right on it . Let's go!
"Domino" started off as a four-bar loop on the piano, and it quickly grew into something way beyond that. Norté came in with these incredible lyrics, some parts in Ga-Adangme and some in English, which brought so much depth to the track. Then, you've got Fox laying down these groovy sax lines that are nothing short of inspiring; and Mauro on the drums, being the heartbeat of the track and keeping us all locked into that groove. When I was piecing it together, I really wanted to capture the fun we had to collaborate on this track.
