The volcano is an unpredictable, destructive and transformative force. A river of lava burns everything in its path, but creates and nourishes a soil where there was nothing. ESCORIAL is a sound design piece composed from audio samples taken at the foot of the Llaima volcano (Patagonia - Chile) and the interview with Patsy Milena (visual artist from Melipeuco, the town at the foot of the volcano). The natural poetry of these sounds bears the memory that “we are part of life cycles” and that change is the only possible driving force.
